Faculty of Mechanical Technology

1. General introduction

The Faculty of Mechanical Technology, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering was established pursuant to the Decision no 905/QĐ-ĐHCN on July 18th, 2023 of the Rector of Hanoi University of Industry. The Faculty of Mechanical Technology, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering was established on the basis of organization and arrangement of the Department of Technology at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry. The field of Mechanical Engineering which is undertaken by the Faculty is closely attached with the history of establishment and strong development of Hanoi University of Industry.

The Faculty of Mechanical Technology trains currently human resources with high quality in the Mechanical field. Lecturers and students of this faculty always play an important role in training, scientific research and technology transfer to meet the needs of industrialization and modernization of the country.

Total number of lecturers participating in teaching is 30 persons, officers, employees (Full-time, part-time and contractual lecturers) of which 30% are with the title of Associate Professor, 50% being with the title of Ph.D, 40% being postgraduate students, the rest of them are with the title of Master. Moreover, this Faculty also cooperates with experts in training, short-term research and postgraduate students in participating at research projects and programs.

Lecturers of the Faculty are currently undertaking numerous tasks related to scientific research in many different fields such as: basic research, applied research and technology transfer in following sectors: design and development of products, industrial equipment and machine, automation of production process, high-level supporting industry…

Majors and training programs are progressed on modern practical and experimental equipment in rooms, practical and experimental centers at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Materials Lab, CAD and CAM Labs, CNC Lab, Electrical Discharge Machining Lab, 5-axis CNC Machine Lab, Plastic Injection Lab, Automation Lab, Smart Manufacturing and Technology Research Center, Center of Experimental Research and Precision.
