Faculty of Transportation Engineering
1. General introduction
The Faculty of Transportation Engineering, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering was established according to Decision No. 981/QĐ-ĐHCN on July 18th, 2023, which is one of the typical technical faculties in terms of training quality at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. In addition to the training function, the Faculty of Transportation Engineering plans to develop scientific and high-tech research centers in many fields such as green technology, alternative energy, electric cars, sustainable development technology and aerospace mechanical fields. With a policy of closely combining training and scientific research to create high‑quality human resources and nurture scientific and technological talents for society. The Faculty’s goal is to continuously enhance the training quality to attract excellent students. The Faculty always ensures student outcomes as committed to domestic and international enterprises.

The Faculty of Transportation Engineering has a high-quality lecturer team including 1 lecturer being Associate. Professor, 7 lecturers having PhD degree and 03 lecturers having Master's degree. In recent years, lecturers of this Faculty have carried out many scientific and technological tasks such as defending scientific topics at all levels, compiling many textbooks to serve the needs of university training and publishing scientific articles at home and abroad. The percentage of scientific articles in the SCI/SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals accounts for around 15% of published works.
3. Majors/Training programs
Moreover, the Faculty also undertakes modules related to power sources, automotive mechatronics, automotive electronic control system, electric vehicle technology and hybrid vehicle for the undergraduate training program in Automotive Engineering Technology Major.
4. Facilities
Majors and training programs are delivered using modern practical and experimental equipment in the following labs: engine lab, automotive electrical lab, automotive mechatronics lab and modern measurement equipment such as diagnostic equipment, oscilloscope, simulated signal generator for gasoline and diesel engines, Kistler’s automotive dynamic measurement equipment. In the development orientation of the Faculty, labs on electric vehicles and new energy systems are proposed to serve the needs of in-depth training and scientific research of both students and lecturers.
