The General Administrative Office of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) was established through the merger of the General Administration Office and the Department of Academic Affairs, Science and Technology, and Student Supports, effective from 15 June 2026, in accordance with Decision No. 1076/QĐ-ĐHCN, dated 15 June 2026, issued by Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI).

The General Administrative Office is responsible for advising and assisting the Rector of the school in the organization and management of the following areas: academic affairs; science and technology; leaner supports; assessment, examination and quality assurance; human resources and administration; finance and accounting; asset management; information technology and communications of the School. The Office also performs other duties as assigned by the School Board.
