On the afternoon of March 4, 2026, the institutional-level evaluation and acceptance committee conducted the final review of the university-level scientific research project entitled “Research on the development of a behavioral model for composite shells with a layered biomimetic core structure and piezoelectric surface layers.” The project is led by MSc. Tran Thi Thu Thuy - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering foundation.

On January 30st, 2026, PhD Candidate Nguyen Hong Tien successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in Mechanical Engineering. The research results were highly appreciated by the Dissertation Evaluation Committee for their scientific and practical value.

On the afternoon of December 25th, 2025, at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) – Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), a PhD dissertation seminar was held for PhD student Khuat Duc Duong. The dissertation is titled: "Static, dynamic analysis and structural optimization of Micro-sized doubly curved shells with variable mechanical properties." The seminar was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Bong from HaUI, with the participation of numerous scientists and experts from within and outside the university.

On November 24th, 2025, the University-level Research Project Evaluation Council conducted an assessment of the project titled “Research, Design, and Fabrication of an Outdoor Mobile Robot Using a Multi-Sensor Localization System,” chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong – Vice Rector of the University.

On the afternoon of October 24th, 2025, at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), PhD candidate Nguyen Duy Trinh successfully defended his university-level doctoral dissertation in Mechanical Engineering. The defense attracted the attention of numerous scientists, lecturers, and PhD candidates from both inside and outside the university.

On August 26th , 2025, at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) Hanoi University of Industry, PhD student Nguyen Hong Tien successfully defended his department-level doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Research on enhancing the wear resistance of high-load presss screws using a combination of computational design and advanced surface treatment solutions.”

On the afternoon of May 29th, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a doctoral thesis seminar for PhD student Ngo Quang Tao. This seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Chu Van Dat, Military Technical Academy with the participation of many scientists and experts coming from SMAE, HaUI and those coming from other universities.

On the afternoon of January 3rd, 2025, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry organized a doctoral thesis seminar for PhD student Nguyen Hong Tien, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Bong and with the participation of many scientists and experts who are both inside and outside the School.

On the morning of July, 25th 2024, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering to organize two school - level Scientfique Research topics in the field of Mechanics under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong - Chairman of the Council - Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry.
