Former student Bui Van Thu: From a young man with a passion for mechanics to the general director of an aluminum die casting company

Bui Van Thu, a former student of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), is a testament to the story of passion, effort and success in the mechanical industry. He is currently the general director of Dong Dai Huu Company Limited, a pioneer in the field of aluminum die casting.

Familiar with mechanics from a young age

Born in 1970, Bui Van Thu grew up surrounded by the sounds of machines and mechanical equipment, and that is what nurtured his love for this profession. In 1987, after graduating from high school, he passed the entrance exam to the school and became a student of the 34th cold manufacturing class.

The turning point came in 2004, when the market economy boomed, urging him to go out and learn from private enterprises. In 2006, with the knowledge and experience he had accumulated, he founded his own company specializing in aluminum die casting. This is a relatively new field in Vietnam, but with a solid mechanical foundation, he quickly developed the company and maintained its operations to this day.

Proud milestones

During his career, Mr. Thu has achieved many memorable successes. He is proud to be the first person to be entrusted by Rang Dong Light Bulb and Vacuum Flask Company with the task of receiving, transferring and managing the successful production of the first compact bulb production line in Vietnam. His company is also the first company in Vietnam to successfully produce casting pans for the household industry, marking an important milestone in his career.

In particular, Mr. Thu affirmed that the Mechanical and Automotive industry still plays a key role in the development of technology.
