Plan for Organizing the Eco Marathon Three - Wheeled Electric Vehicle Design Solution Competition
Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has developed a plan for the Eco Marathon Three-Wheeled Electric Vehicle Design Solution Competition for students of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), with specific details as follows:
I. OBJECTIVES – REQUIREMENTS
1. Objectives
- To encourage creative thinking and technological innovation in the design of three-wheeled electric vehicle, aiming for energy-saving solutions, environmental friendliness, and alignment with green transportation trends.
- To create an academic and technical playground for students to apply their knowledge into practice through the design and modeling of three-wheeled electric vehicles.
- To create a premise and foundation for manufacturing three-wheeled electric vehicle to participate in the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia competition.
2. Requirements
- Designs must ensure feasibility: capable of being manufactured, test-operated, and suitable for basic traffic conditions.
- The competition is implemented across SMAE and encourages participation from students in engineering majors at HaUI
II. PARTICIPANTS – TIMELINE – LOCATION
1. Participants:
Undergraduate students currently studying Engineering majors at SMAE, HaUI.
2. Timeline:
- Registration: Until December 30th, 2025. Teams register directly at the Automotive Practice and Inspection Center, SMAE (Room 410 - A10 Building).

3. Location: A10 Building - Campus 1, Hanoi University of Industry.
III. CONTENT AND COMPETITION RULES
- Participating teams shall design three-wheeled electric vehicles according to the requirements of the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia competition (Technical standards are provided in the attached Appendix).
- Simulate operations with proposed solutions aimed at energy efficiency.
- Teams shall report their results to the Organizing Committee via presentations and projections of their achieved results.
- The winning team will be the one with the best design that ensures criteria regarding dimensions, safety, technical standards, and maximum energy efficiency.

01 First Prize: 2,000,000 VND + Certificate
01 Second Prize: 1,600,000 VND + Certificate
01 Third Prize: 1,200,000 VND + Certificate
02 Consolation Prizes: 800,000 VND + Certificate
