Experiencing Coffee Robot at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering: Practical learning, mastering smart robot technology

Students of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) will have the opportunity to directly access modern robot technology through the Coffee Robot model - the first step in the cooperation between SMAE and Neuromeka.

Overview of the working session among SMAE, Neuromeka Co., Ltd. (Korea) and Mahanaim Global Business Co., Ltd.

After signing the memorandum of understanding on November 21, 2024, SMAE, Neuromeka Co., Ltd. (Korea) and Mahanaim Global Business Co., Ltd. held the first working session on February 17th , 2025 to realize the committed contents. During the meeting, the parties discussed the plan to install the Coffee Robot model, marking an important first step in applying robot technology to training and research.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung - Principal of SMAE said that in the context of the strong development of the 4.0 industrial revolution, the demand for human resources capable of operating, programming and creating smart industrial robots on the basis of automation technology is increasing. The strategic cooperation with Neuromeka - Korea's leading corporation in the field of robotics will bring outstanding advantages to students of SMAE.

Emphasizing the practicality in training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung said that integrating the Coffee Robot model into the curriculum demonstrates advanced educational thinking, promoting learning from reality and practicing skills through experience. Instead of just learning through books and simulation models, students are familiarized with the working environment, directly interacting with modern robot systems. Through this, students will experience the process of operating, programming, and maintaining robots; research and develop core technologies and breakthrough solutions in line with global technology trends; and expand their knowledge of the application of robots in life and production.

With a solid knowledge base, in-depth practical skills and a spirit of innovation, students of SMAE will be ready to conquer the robotics industry with outstanding competitive advantages. This is also an important goal, completely consistent with the spirit of the cooperation project with Neuromeka, which is to train a generation of engineers capable of "turning ideas into reality", creating "Made in Vietnam" robotic products.

In the upcoming time, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung expressed his desire to continue to cooperate closely with Neuromeka to expand research and application of robots in many fields, from industrial production to life support services. This will be an important driving force for SMAE to innovate training methods, focus on technology and gradually affirm its leading position in the field of technology and engineering in Vietnam.

SMAE expects that the cooperation with Neuromeka will bring many practical internship and job opportunities for students, while focusing on developing advanced teaching materials, building specialized courses and granting certificates of robot operation according to international standards. The talented robot engineers trained by SMAE and Neuromeka will be the core force, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese robot industry, and further, reaching out to the world.
