Seminar on the “Technology trends in precise control and manufacturing” at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering
On July 12th, 2024, the seminar on the “Technology trends in precise control and manufacturing” was organized by School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering for the purpose of enhancing the expertise for lecturers and students, while simultaneously promoting training attached to scientific research. This seminar had the presence of speakers from the famous universities around the world: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Duc Ton - Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mien Van - Queen’s Belfast University (United Kingdom); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Anh - Cranfield University (United Kingdom).
Dr. Nguyen Van Truong - Dean of Faculty of Mechatronics gave a speech and mentioned about new technology trends in precise control and manufacturing.
In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Duc Ton worked in the areas of energy conversion and motion control. He presented researchs on disturbance observers and applications in wind energy conversion system.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Duc Ton focused on researching advanced control system, motion control, wind energy conversion system and nanorobots.
During this seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mien Van - Queen's Belfast University (United Kingdom) shared about digital Twin for robotics design, concepts of control barrier function and barrier Lyapunov function and design of critical admittance control for human – robot collaboratiion. He also mentioned about the establishment of real-time system in environmental disturbances and reinforcement learning methods for different robot systems.
Assos. Prof. Dr. Mien Van - Queen's Belfast University (United Kingdom) focused on researching control barrier function, digital twin and artificial intelligence for collaborative robots.
Continuing to share in this seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Anh - Cranfield University (United Kingdom) mentioned about “ From Welding to 3D Printing for metallic and non-metallic materials”. He presented researchs about technological transformation from welding to 3D printing, which provides new viewpoints regarding the prospects of this technology in manufacturing.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Anh - Cranfield University (United Kingdom) focused on researching about 3D printing technology for metallic and non-metallic materials and technology transformation from welding to 3D printing.
During this seminar, Mr Le Ngoc Duy and Mr Vu Tuan Anh - Lecturers at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, presented the design of lateral motion controller for vehicles with rotating joints and built a control model for micropumps using piezoelectric materials.
Mr Vu Tuan Anh - Lecturer at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, focused on researching about the establishment of a control model for micropumps using piezoelectric materials.
Delegates highly appreciated the scientific content and the significance of all presentations as well as the organization of this program. This seminar brought a great deal of useful and valuable knowledge, which contributes to enhance the expertise of lecturers, postgraduates and students, while simultaneously promoting the development of scientific and technological researches in School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering.
Lecturers of Mechatronics faculty had some questions to clarify research content presented at the seminar.
This seminar took place successfully, meeting the aim of enhancing the expertise, orienting to edit the content of related training programs and promoting training attached to scientific research. The seminar created a forum to exchange, share experience and valuable knowledge among the world’s leading experts and participants, bring many new opportunities for cooperation and development in the areas of technology and precise control.
