In the journey of constantly exploring knowledge and conquering technology, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) is proud to have a team of quality lecturers who not only impart knowledge but also inspire generations of students. Among them, Dr. Duong Van Thiet is a shining figure - a dedicated lecturer, a researcher in the field of semiconductor technology, with international study experience and practical work at the prestigious Samsung Group.

On the afternoon of May 29th, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a doctoral thesis seminar for PhD student Ngo Quang Tao. This seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Chu Van Dat, Military Technical Academy with the participation of many scientists and experts coming from SMAE, HaUI and those coming from other universities.

On the morning of June 5th ,2025, the graduation project council of the Mechanical Engineering Technology Major K2 (specialized training program equivalent to level 7) took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere. The core of the engineering training program is the orientation of practical application. Each topic not only stops at presenting reports and calculating designs, but also exists as products ready to be deployed and bring practical value to businesses. Technical solutions are optimized and gradually perfected to meet the strict requirements of production. This is a testament to the close cooperation between School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) and businesses in improving students' practical capacity.

The annual scientific research student conference at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), HaUI has long been an intellectual playground, arousing the passion for creativity, helping students get acquainted with the challenges of the research process and discovering new knowledge. Continuing the annual tradition, on May 22nd and on May 31st, SMAE organized the acceptance of scientific research topics with the participation of hundreds of students in the two fields of Mechanics and Automobiles. With the orientation of practical application research, the topics focus on hot issues of the industry, thereby providing solutions to optimize or minimize the impact of the research problem on society.

May is brilliant with the red phoenix flowers, June calls summer with bunches of purple Lagerstroemia. These two months are also the signal of the return of a challenging but memorable exam and project season. In that atmosphere, more than 800 K16 students of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) officially entered the defense of graduation project, the 2024-2025 school year. From May 27th to May 31st , 40 evaluation councils worked urgently and seriously, witnessing the achievements after many efforts of future bachelors.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Science and Technology Day (May 18th, 2025), School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly looks back at its important contributions to the development of science and technology in the country. With the mission of training high-quality human resources and researching advanced technologies, SMAE has constantly innovated to integrate with the world and meet the requirements of modern science and technology, for sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, a young man from Hai Phong, has had a passion for exploring, manufacturing and improving machinery and equipment since his childhood. It was this passion that led him to pursue the field of Mechanical Engineering when he became a student at Hanoi University of Industry. As an alumnus of the 2008-2012 course (CK5-K3) of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Nguyen Xuan Thanh is always remembered by teachers as a young and energetic student, constantly learning and striving to assert himself in science and technology.

To provide knowledge in the field of modern automotive technology, access the latest technological trends, and understand electric powertrain systems, fuel cells, and solutions for optimizing the performance of new energy vehicles; and to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Hanoi University of Industry and Guangxi University of Science and Technology, China, particularly in developing the Vehicle and New Energy Training Program, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering is implementing a 14-day short-term training program on “New Energy Vehicles” organized by Guangxi University of Science and Technology.

On April 26th, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering joyfully welcomed back the alumni of class CK4-K6 for a visit, marking their 10th graduation anniversary. Their return was not only an emotional reunion but also a significant milestone celebrating the growth of a generation of bachelors and engineers nurtured at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, HaUI.
