On the occasion of Vietnamese Science and Technology Day (May 18th, 2025), School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly looks back at its important contributions to the development of science and technology in the country. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, a young man from Hai Phong, has had a passion for exploring, manufacturing and improving machinery and equipment since his childhood. It was this passion that led him to pursue the field of Mechanical Engineering when he became a student at Hanoi University of Industry. As an alumnus of the 2008-2012 course (CK5-K3) of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Nguyen Xuan Thanh is always remembered by teachers as a young and energetic student, constantly learning and striving to assert himself in science and technology.

To provide knowledge in the field of modern automotive technology, access the latest technological trends, and understand electric powertrain systems, fuel cells, and solutions for optimizing the performance of new energy vehicles; and to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Hanoi University of Industry and Guangxi University of Science and Technology, China, particularly in developing the Vehicle and New Energy Training Program, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering is implementing a 14-day short-term training program on “New Energy Vehicles” organized by Guangxi University of Science and Technology.

On April 26th, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering joyfully welcomed back the alumni of class CK4-K6 for a visit, marking their 10th graduation anniversary. Their return was not only an emotional reunion but also a significant milestone celebrating the growth of a generation of bachelors and engineers nurtured at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, HaUI.

On the afternoon of April 22nd , 2025, SMAE, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) successfully organized a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Intellectuals for the Development of Science in Serbia – The Serbian Academic Center and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with the aim of promoting and developing cooperative relations between the parties involved.

Taking place for the second time at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), The second International Conference on Sustainability and Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing 2025 (SETSM 2025) continues to affirm its position as one of the prestigious annual academic forums in the region and the world. This year, nearly 250 works by scientists from 10 countries (including the Federal Republic of Germany, the Russian Federation, India, Korea, China, Japan, Serbia, Vietnam, Taiwan, France and Malaysia...) have brought many new and interdisciplinary researches, clearly reflecting the movement of modern production under dual pressures: digital transformation and green development.
