A Vibrant Welcome for K20 Freshmen - The new academic year kicks off a breakthrough journey

In the joyful atmosphere celebrating the 80th National Day on September 2nd, on the morning of September 4th, 2025, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) burst with excitement during its spirited enrollment day. More than 1500 K20 freshmen have officially joined our common home with positive energy, radiant eyes, and hearts full of aspiration. This is not just the first day of an academic year, but the starting point for a breakthrough journey, where students will conquer knowledge, discover their passions, and build a brilliant future.

From early in the morning, the campuses of C19 building in Ninh Binh province and A10 building in Hanoi were illuminated with bright smiles, friendly handshakes, and warm greetings. The K20 freshmen in Ninh Binh province, with curious and eager eyes, were enthusiastically supported by a team of student volunteers and lecturers in completing their enrollment procedures and exploring the campsite areas.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, along with other leaders, visited the SMAE’s booth.

The booths and exhibition areas were beautifully designed, attracting the attention of a large number of students and parents. Here, students could admire outstanding models and products created by their upperclassmen, from mini self-made cars and intelligent robots to complex machine parts. They also had the chance to participate in fun mini-games, receive meaningful souvenirs, and immerse themselves in the vibrant and sweet melodies from the members of the MEAC art club.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung - SMAE’s Rector, extended his best wishes to the K20 freshmen. He affirmed that choosing SAME was as a wise decision, opening the door to a promising future. The School, with its dedicated and intellectual team of officials, lecturers, and staff, is committed to always accompanying, guiding, and equipping students with solid professional knowledge and necessary practical skills to confidently overcome any challenge.

Vu Van Dung, a freshman of the Automotive 2 - K20 class, arrived early with his family to complete the admission process. His face was radiant with hope as he shared his dream: "Since I was a child, I have wanted to build cars with my own hands. That's why I chose the Automotive Engineering Technology major at this School." Dung believes that this is the place that will give wings to his passion and turn his long-held dream into reality.

For English-taught programs of two majors being Mechanical Engineering Technology and Automotive Engineering Technology, students will study at Campus 1 in Hanoi. Here, during the enrollment day, students received advice and career orientation from lecturers. They were also introduced to clubs and scientific research activities, and toured the SMAE’s Smart Manufacturing and Technology Research Center.
