Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Ba Phong and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Duc Trung from HaUI named among the world’s most influential scientists in 2024

Publisher Elsevier has recently released a prestigious ranking of the world's most influential scientists, compiled by a group of researchers from Stanford University in the USA. Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly celebrates the recognition of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Phong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Duc Trung, both of whom have been included in the list of the world's most influential scientists in 2024.

This year, the list has recognized the contributions of Vietnamese scientists, with nine of them appearing in the top 10,000 and 60 in the top 100,000 most influential scientists globally. The total number of Vietnamese scientists featured has increased by 13 compared to 2023.

The ranking categorizes researchers into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields, relying on the established classification system of Science-Metrix. Data is sourced from Scopus, provided by Elsevier through ICSR Lab. This comprehensive approach ensures that the scientists’ contributions are evaluated based on a wide array of criteria.

Among those honored this year are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Phong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Duc Trung, both esteemed faculty members at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI). Additionally, it evaluates citations for articles authored by a single author, as well as those where the scientist is the first author, corresponding author, or last author. These metrics offer a comprehensive evaluation of a researcher's influence in the scientific community.
