Development cooperation between School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering and Fujikin Vietnam

With the goal of establishing sustainable cooperation and providing internship, employment opportunities for students, on December 18th 2024, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fujikin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Bac Ninh Factory Branch. The signing ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the participation of representatives of the two Parties leaders.

Previously, in October 2024, SMAE and Fujikin Vietnam - Bac Ninh Factory Branch had a working session and agreed on cooperation contents related to internship and employment for students.

Cooperation for mutual development

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung - Principal of SMAE emphasized that the formation and development of SMAE is closely linked to the 126-year history of Hanoi University of Industry, with a scale of more than 130 staff, employees and nearly 7,000 students. He also expressed pride in the teaching staff with 47% having a doctorate degree or higher, many of whom have been trained in Japan. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung affirmed that the cooperation between SMAE and the company will open up learning and career development opportunities for students, through the internship program, recruitment scholarships, job positions... thereby bringing practical values ​​to learners and society.

On behalf of Fujikin Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Koike Hiroki, General Director of the company, expressed his gratitude to SMAE for organizing the solemn signing ceremony of the MoU. He gave a general introduction about Fujikin - an industrial semiconductor manufacturing company with two factories in Bac Ninh Industrial Park and Thang Long Industrial Park, with more than 1,700 employees. Mr. Koike Hiroki shared that many alumni of SMAE are working at Fujikin. They are holding important positions, which is a great honor for the company. Currently, the company has needs to recruit and accept interns in order to select the most outstanding students to contribute to the development of Fujikin.

Mr. Koike Hiroki expressed his desire to accompany with SMAE in the annual job fair, attracting a large number of students to participate every April.

Cooperation contents:

According to the MoU, SMAE and Fujikin Co., Ltd. will cooperate in the following areas:

- Internship and employment: Provide internship and employment opportunities in the accurate major for students.

- Visiting and practical experiences: Organize visiting programs and practical experiences at Fujikin for lecturers and students.

- Scholarships: Fujikin sponsors scholarships for SMAE’s students based on the company's selection criteria.
