School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering promotes domestic and international cooperation towards comprehensive and sustainable development

On the afternoon of April 22nd , 2025, SMAE, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) successfully organized a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Intellectuals for the Development of Science in Serbia – The Serbian Academic Center and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with the aim of promoting and developing cooperative relations between the parties involved.

In the context of the global industry changing strongly under the pressure of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, the requirements for training institutions are not only limited to teaching professional skills, but also the ability to design open, multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary "learning ecosystems", where students can both study, experiment and connect with the international academic community. Understanding this, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) has been proactively implementing strategic plans to build a highly integrated educational environment, focusing on students. Signing cooperation agreements with domestic and international academic organizations and universities is the first step in realizing this commitment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung - Rector of SMAE expressed his respect and appreciation for the cooperative relationship with the Association of Intellectuals for the Development of Science in Serbia – The Serbian Academic Center and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. He said that the implementation of cooperation between domestic training and research institutions and international academic organizations will create an important driving force to improve the quality of training, develop highly applicable scientific research projects, and simultaneously contribute to building and improving technical human resources, meeting the current requirements of globalization.

The content of the memorandum of understanding between the parties includes:

For the Association of Intellectuals for the Development of Science in Serbia – The Serbian Academic Center:

* Cooperate in scientific research;

* Conduct academic exchanges between staff, lecturers and students;

* Exchange and share experiences, learning materials, academic information, technology;

* Share scientific publications.

For the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology:

* Co-organize international specialized seminars and conferences;

* Collaborate in scientific research in the fields of modern CNC machining (application of AI, IoT technology), 3D metal printing technology and material deformation.
