On the morning of June 5th ,2025, the graduation project council of the Mechanical Engineering Technology Major K2 (specialized training program equivalent to level 7) took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere. The core of the engineering training program is the orientation of practical application. Each topic not only stops at presenting reports and calculating designs, but also exists as products ready to be deployed and bring practical value to businesses. Technical solutions are optimized and gradually perfected to meet the strict requirements of production. This is a testament to the close cooperation between School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) and businesses in improving students' practical capacity.

The evaluation council consists of Associate Professor Doctors and PhDs with many years of experience in the field of Mechanics. Those are lecturers who have wholeheartedly guided the students throughout their studies. On the students' side, each face showed high concentration with a little nervousness, but above all, confidence and determination to successfully defend their passionate topic.

At the project defense, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung - SMAE’s Rector, Chairman of the Council emphasized: “Studying in engineering programs or master's and doctoral programs not only helps students master advanced knowledge and core technologies, but also trains independent research thinking, leadership and management skills for complex technical projects. This is a solid foundation for students to become leading experts, scientists and excellent managers, contributing to the development of the Mechanical - Automotive field and to the country.

Diverse and highly applicable topics

This year, the engineering program K2 of Mechanical Engineering Technology Major has brought diverse graduation project topics, demonstrating the students' exploration, creativity and ability to grasp technological trends. Many topics focus on practical areas with high applicability in production and life such as: Design, improvement and manufacturing of a model of a magnetic polishing machine for hole-shaped parts; Research on calculation of design and establishment of a technological process for manufacturing a handicraft woodworking milling machine with a 4 - axis numerical control.

Each topic not only demonstrates solid professional knowledge but also demonstrates many skills such as independent working skill, teamwork skill, problem-solving ability and critical thinking skill of future engineers.

Confidently present and firmly answer questions

Each group of students presented clearly and coherently the objectives, research content, implementation process, results achieved and contributions of the topic. They effectively used visual tools such as slideshows, presentations of models and real products to illustrate their presentations.

During the Council’s debate, questions that delved into each aspect of the topic helped students clarify their research issues, while demonstrating their mettle and ability to answer questions coherently. Many intelligent, confident, and scientifically sound answers received high praise from the Council.

After hours of intense and serious work, bright smiles appeared on the faces of the students when they received comments, suggestions and recognition from the Professional Council. This is a worthy result for their tireless efforts over the past time.

The graduation project defense of engineering program K2 of Mechanical Engineering Technology Major ended successfully, leaving many emotions and unforgettable impressions. This is a big turning point, opening a new promising path for the new engineers.
