On the morning of June 25, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) successfully held the Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation of the 17th Student Scientific Research Conference, recognizing numerous outstanding research achievements. At this prestigious academic platform, students from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) continued to affirm their professional competence and spirit of innovation with a host of impressive achievements.

The Student Scientific Research Conference is a significant annual event at HaUI aimed at honoring outstanding research works and promoting an academic movement throughout the university. It also serves as a forum for students to develop creative thinking, engage with practical realities, and nurture their passion for scientific research.

The 17th Student Scientific Research Conference attracted a large number of participating students.

In recent academic years, scientific research activities at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering have experienced remarkable growth, with nearly 150 research projects focusing on key disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Robotics, and Intelligent Technologies. Many of these projects have demonstrated strong practical applicability, contributing to solving real-world technical problems in production.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong – Vice President of Hanoi University of Industry, presented awards honoring student Le Van Do (First Prize in Machine Theory at the 2026 National Mechanics Olympiad) and the authors of ministerial-level scientific research awards, including a research group led by Nguyen Quang Minh, a student from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering

Affirming Quality Through Impressive Figures

This year’s research projects showcased strong novelty and innovation, earning high recognition from the expert panels. Students from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering achieved remarkable success with 9 First Prizes, 26 Second Prizes, 28 Third Prizes, and 77 Encouragement Prizes. These results demonstrate the continuous enhancement of academic and research capabilities, while also highlighting the effective guidance of faculty supervisors and the students’ dedication to rigorous scientific inquiry.

This year’s outstanding award-winning research projects were developed through systematic research efforts closely aligned with modern technology trends such as smart robotics, artificial intelligence, green energy, and autonomous vehicles… Many studies focused on optimizing technical parameters, improving performance, and enhancing sustainability in industrial applications.
