Sports Festival for students of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering and School of Economics: Fun - Solidarity - Radiance

Joining the exciting atmosphere to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025), the Union of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) and the Union of School of Economics (SE) successfully organized The Sports Festival for freshman at the Ha Nam campus. The activity is not only a healthy sports playground but also an opportunity for students of the two schools to exchange, learn and strengthen solidarity.

In the opening speech, Mr. Trinh Dac Phong - Secretary of the Union of SMAE emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in the comprehensive development of students. Participating in extracurricular activities not only helps students expand their knowledge, develop communication skills, teamwork and time management, but also creates valuable experiences and builds valuable relationships.

This year's sports festival gathered a large number of athletes from the two union branches, competing in the following sports: tug of war, passing the ball, treasure hunting, team steps and especially the king of sports - football. Right after the opening ceremony, the atmosphere at the C19 - Ha Nam home field was "on fire" with the athletes' spirit of competition.

The tug of war is a competition that demonstrates collective strength, attracting a large number of students to participate. Two teams of 10 athletes each line up in two rows facing each other. The teams compete in 3 rounds, the team that wins 2 rounds will win the overall victory.

Automobile 4 and Auditing 02 won first prize in the tug of war competition

Accounting 03 and Mechanical and Industrial Design 01 won second prize in the tug of war competition

Accounting 08 and Transportation Engineering; Business Administration 04 and Mechatronics 03 won third prize in the tug of war competition

For the ball passing competition, each branch sent a team of 12 people, each team divided into 3 groups (each group had 4 players), standing in front of 2 starting lines. The team that passed all the balls in the fastest time would be the winning team.

In the treasure hunt competition, it tested intelligence and team spirit. The teams solve the secret letters to find the location of the next secret letters. The team that finds the treasure is the winning team.

Human Resources Management 01, Investment Accounting 01 and Accounting 04 won second prize in the treasure hunt competition.

Accounting 01 and English Finance and Banking 01; Automobile 02 and Mechatronics 04 won third prize in the treasure hunt competition.

The team step competition requires the skill and solidarity of the whole team, each team has 5-7 people participating. The left leg of the first person is tied to the right leg of the second person, the left leg of the second person is tied to the right leg of the third person, and so on with the remaining people's legs. The teams will move together, the team that moves to the finish line the fastest will be the winning team.

English Accounting 01 and Business Administration 02 won the second prize in the Team Steps competition.

MEAC Art Club, Accounting 08 and Business Administration won the third prize in the Team Steps competition.

Football, known as the "king of sports", is always the focus of every sports festival. 16 teams are divided into 4 groups, competing in a round-robin to select the best teams to advance to the next round.
