Vu Kim Hiep, who majors in Mechatronics, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, graduated with very good degree in just 3 years.

Vu Kim Hiep completed the undergraduate program of Mechatronics Engineering Technology in just 03 years while the period of program was 04 years, with the Grade Point Average (GPA) being 3.33/4. Moreover, he has ranked as good academic performance and excellent training. There are a few students at the School of Mechanical and Automotive who graduated early and ranked as excellent graduates like Hiep.

Being born and raised in Hung Yen province with a cultural tradition, this is the place where many heroes of the country were born. Carrying that tradition, Vu Kim Hiep - a student of Mechatronics class 1, K16 was aware of his studies since high school. Hiep had a passion with subjects of mathematics and natural sciences. That young man has a special passion for solving complex, logical problems and challenging himself. Each time he solves difficult problems, Hiep himself seems to overcome his own limits. Every day Hiep gradually accumulates knowledge for himself, little by little, the student confided.

Family – a great source of motivation

The period of three years of high school passed in the blink of an eye, and that day has come. The day when Vu Kim Hiep chose a university to apply for. At that time, Hiep was very confused about which major to choose and which university to apply for. Through mass communication, websites, social networks, etc., Hiep learned about the Mechatronics major at Hanoi University of Industry through competitions and achievements that the school's students had achieved such as: National Robocon Competition, World Skills Competition, National Olympics, etc. Hiep himself had a desire to design and manufacture robots to serve life. Therefore, Hiep applied for the Mechatronics major at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry. With his tireless efforts, this young man from Hung Yen was admitted to his first choice, the Mechatronics major at the School of Mechanics and Automotive with a high score of 25.55 points. That result is a testament to Hiep's efforts and determination, which is also a great gift for Hiep's family - those who always follow, encourage and motivate Hiep to overcome all difficulties, creating the best conditions for him to study and indulge his passion for scientific and mathematical research.

Working hard – The rewards will come

The determination to graduate early and achieve a very good degree stemmed from the desire to assert himself and shape his future career more clearly. Hiep understood that completing the program with excellent outcome will help him to have more job opportunities, while also reducing financial pressure on his family. Moreover, this young man wants to challenge himself, set big goals to not only study well but also overcome his own limits.

During his studies, the biggest difficulties which Vu Kim Hiep faced were the large amount of knowledge and time pressure. Balancing between courses, especially those that were in-depth and required a lot of time to study, made him feel exhausted. Some new and complex subjects also made Hiep feel difficult to keep up with, especially when he had to study beyond the usual schedule.

To overcome these difficulties, Vu Kim Hiep created a detailed and scientific study plan. He divided each goal into weekly and daily goals, and divided the study time reasonably for each subject. Studying in groups with friends also helped him to grasp knowledge fast and easily share his study experience. When encountering difficult lessons or problems that he did not understand clearly, Hiep did not hesitate to seek help from lecturers or online resources. In addition, the young man always maintained a healthy lifestyle, balancing between studying and exercising, to improve his mental and physical health throughout the learning process.

Due to his perseverance and constant efforts, Hiep has achieved extremely impressive achievements in 03 years of studying at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry: Full scholarship to encourage learning in the 2nd semester of the 2022-2023 school year, partial scholarship to encourage learning in the 1st semester of the 2022-2023 school year, Nitori scholarship in 2023, the third prize in the 3D 4C HaUI drawing competition, member of the DCN-SMAE robocon team who won the third prize at the school level to enter the national Robocon final round in 2024.

Vu Kim Hiep, who sits at the corner of the left, is one of the four students from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering receiving the Nitori scholarship in 2023.

Vu Kim Hiep is an active member of the Robocon team in the 2023-2024 school year. The DCN-SMAE team won the third prize at the school level and entered the final round of the National Robocon in 2024.

In addition to his academic achievements, Vu Kim Hiep is also an active and enthusiastic class monitor in extracurricular activities and mass activities of the class and the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. The Mechatronics Class 1-K16 under the leadership of that young man has always achieved excellent collective results, commended in the activities of the Union - Association such as volunteer students, green summer activities... With those achievements, Kim Hiep was awarded by the Executive Committee of the Union of the School of Mechanics - Automobiles for outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the movement of the School of Mechanics - Automobiles in the 2022-2023 school year.

In the 2023-2024 school year, with achievements in both studying and extracurricular activities, Vu Kim Hiep was unanimously proposed by the departmental Party Committee of the School and Automotive Engineeing to admit students with good academic achievements, dynamism, enthusiasm and creativity to the Party. Hiep has officially joined the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Hopefully, with his youthfulness, enthusiasm and responsibility, Vu Kim Hiep will be a generation of outstanding young Party members with solid political qualities, who will be a source of quality successor cadres for the entire departmental Party Committee.

Dream of reaching high - reaching far

Sharing with us, Vu Kim Hiep happily said: “In the future, I plan to continue studying for a master's degree to improve my knowledge and professional skills in the field of Mechatronics. I realize that continuing my studies will help expand my career opportunities and provide the necessary in-depth knowledge to develop in this industry. Besides, I am also participating in related specialized training courses to improve my practical skills and update the latest technologies.”

In the future, after graduating, Hiep hopes to stay at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering to work, where he studied and marked his youth for 3 years of university. He cherishes the desire to bring the best knowledge and accumulated experience to devote his best to the common development of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering.

Currently, Hiep has been recruited by Toshiba software company. Hopefully, with experience working at the company, opportunities to develop research projects and apply advanced technologies into actual production will come to him. Therefore, he will contribute to the development of the industry in Vietnam.

Vu Kim Hiep's 3-year journey of studying has been difficult, stressful, and above all, his own constant efforts and efforts.
