On the morning of 03/22/2026, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) officially opened the 2026 School-level Mechanics Olympiad, a competition that attracted a large number of students to participate across 6 examination subjects. This is a stepping stone for the faculty and students of the University to advance to the national arena, affirming the intellect and resilience of HaUI students.
The School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Hanoi University of Industry is a reputable institution in engineering education, annually providing thousands of high-quality graduates and engineers who meet the increasingly demanding requirements of both domestic and international enterprises. In a field traditionally considered “male-dominated”, the SMAE’s “Engineering Roses” have shone brilliantly—completing their studies in just over three years and graduating with distinction—thereby affirming their resilience, intellect, and breakthrough spirit of female students in the engineering environment.
To enhance the quality of student research projects and standardize the implementation process, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, organized a training session on scientific research methodology on January 21st, 2026. This training session attracted a large number of students, offering them the chance to access modern research methods, report-writing skills, scientific paper drafting, and practical insights from an experienced team of experts and lecturers.
In the early days of 2026, the Robotics team from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) marked a proud new milestone for Vietnamese Robotics. Competing against many formidable opponents in the Philippines, the HaUI team proved their mettle as the sole representative of Vietnam at the regional VEX-U Robotics Competition 2026.
Hanoi University of Industry has recently held a formal ceremony to award the Nitori International Scholarship 2025. The Nitori Scholarship is one of the most prestigious programs, implemented to encourage students’ learning spirit, research activities, and skill development. Beyond financial support, the scholarship also serves as a recognition of students’ continuous efforts in their academic studies and personal development.
With the goal of attracting excellent international students to postgraduate programs (focusing on STEM, semiconductors, and technology), on the morning of December 9th, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) organized an introduction session for the INTENSE Taiwan (China) Scholarship to help final-year students across various majors access the program.
With the aim of supporting students access the labor market and find suitable job positions, while also introducing internship programs combined with research for graduation projects and recruiting positions at enterprises, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering organized the “Career Counseling and Recruitment Workshop for Students.” This year’s workshop attracted the interest and participation of more than 1.500 students and featured 20 exhibition booths from enterprises offering internship consultation and recruiting students while they are still pursuing their studies at the University.
On November 7, 2025, the Youth Union inter-chapter and the Students’ Union inter-chapter of the School of SMAE successfully organized the Conference on the Summary of Youth Union Works and Youth and Student Movements for the 2024–2025 academic year. The event aimed to review the outcomes of learning, scientific research, and youth movement activities over the past year, while also outlining tasks for the 2025–2026 academic year and honoring outstanding collectives and individuals.
On the afternoon of October 17th , 2025, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry, organized the Conference of class monitors and secretaries of Youth Union branches for the 2025-2026 academic year. The conference was held with the objective of summarizing and evaluating student affairs and Youth Union movements during the 2024-2025 academic year, while simultaneously launching emulation movements for the 2025-2026 academic year. In particular, the conference served as a crucial forum to listen to feedback from learners, aiming to comprehensively improve quality and build a positive culture of conduct within the university environment.
