On the afternoon of December 25th, 2025, at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) – Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), a PhD dissertation seminar was held for PhD student Khuat Duc Duong. The dissertation is titled: "Static, dynamic analysis and structural optimization of Micro-sized doubly curved shells with variable mechanical properties." The seminar was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Bong from HaUI, with the participation of numerous scientists and experts from within and outside the university.
In accordance with the cooperation agreement signed between Hanoi University of Industry and Beijing Jingdiao Group Vietnam Co., Ltd., on the morning of December 20th, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry organized the reception and inauguration ceremony of the 5-axis CNC Machine Room. This facility is a component of the Research and Talent Training Cooperation Program between the two parties, aimed at enhancing the quality of education and applied research in advanced technologies.
With the goal of attracting excellent international students to postgraduate programs (focusing on STEM, semiconductors, and technology), on the morning of December 9th, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) organized an introduction session for the INTENSE Taiwan (China) Scholarship to help final-year students across various majors access the program.
On the afternoon of December 10, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted a solemn ceremony to announce the Decision to confer the title of Associate Professor upon 11 distinguished educators and scientists of the University. This event was particularly momentous, occurring immediately after the University officially transitioned its operating model to the “Hanoi University of Industry” system by the Prime Minister's decision , further highlighting the high caliber of its faculty and the growing stature of an institution rapidly ascending to a major university system.
On November 24th, 2025, the University-level Research Project Evaluation Council conducted an assessment of the project titled “Research, Design, and Fabrication of an Outdoor Mobile Robot Using a Multi-Sensor Localization System,” chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong – Vice Rector of the University.
On November 7, 2025, the Youth Union inter-chapter and the Students’ Union inter-chapter of the School of SMAE successfully organized the Conference on the Summary of Youth Union Works and Youth and Student Movements for the 2024–2025 academic year. The event aimed to review the outcomes of learning, scientific research, and youth movement activities over the past year, while also outlining tasks for the 2025–2026 academic year and honoring outstanding collectives and individuals.
In the context of the manufacturing industry's urgent demand for high-quality human resources, on the morning of November 4, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) officially received a sponsorship from Coretech System Co., Ltd., consisting of 75 licenses of Moldex3D software with a total value of 3.9 million dollars. This is the world's leading software for plastic injection molding simulation and analysis, widely applied in the automotive, aviation, and electronics industries. This sponsorship will assist lecturers, trainees, and students of the School in enhancing the quality of teaching, research, and practice in the field of plastic injection mold design and optimization
On October 28, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) warmly welcomed a delegation from Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST), China. The two institutions engaged in in-depth discussions aimed at identifying breakthrough initiatives for cooperation, particularly in the pioneering field of New Energy Vehicle (NEV) technology.
On the afternoon of October 24th, 2025, at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), PhD candidate Nguyen Duy Trinh successfully defended his university-level doctoral dissertation in Mechanical Engineering. The defense attracted the attention of numerous scientists, lecturers, and PhD candidates from both inside and outside the university.
