Ha Phuc Khanh – The Versatile Student Leader and the Journey of “Pressure Builds Character”
On the occasion of the 95th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (03/26/1931 - 03/26/2026), let meet Ha Phuc Khanh – Class Secretary of Automotive Class 4 - K19, and Vice President of the Student Association of Hanoi University of Industry. He is a shining example of students of SMAE at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI): academically excellent, professionally skilled, and wholeheartedly dedicated to Youth Union and Student Association activities.
Choosing to pursue Automotive Engineering Technology out of a passion for technology cultivated during his secondary school years, Ha Phuc Khanh found in the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) at HaUI an ideal environment in which to realize his aspirations. For Khanh, SMAE is not merely a place for rigorous technical training, but also a rich experiential space where students are developed through hands-on practice, laboratory work, and vibrant student activities.
The most compelling testament to this is the University-level " Student with Five Good Merits " title and the partial scholarship that Khanh has attained. To Khanh, the " Five Good Merits " (Good Ethics, Good Academic Performance, Good Physical Fitness, Good Volunteering, and Good Social Integration) is not merely a reward, but a benchmark of his relentless commitment to self-improvement each day.

Many people often wonder how an engineering student can simultaneously maintain academic studies and scientific research while actively engaging in Youth Union and Student Association activities. For Khanh, the answer lies in a single word: Planning.
Khanh habitually constructs detailed weekly and semester schedules, prioritizing the completion of academic obligations before allocating time to extracurricular activities. It is precisely the logical mindset of a future engineer that has enabled Khanh to manage his time efficiently, transforming work pressure into a driving force for personal development. "Pressure builds character; action produces results" – This is the guiding principle that helps Ha Phuc Khanh get through the busiest periods of his tenure.

Khanh asserts that Youth Union and Student Association activities are by no means separate from technical expertise. Here, Khanh develops skills in work organization, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. “Technical competence and interpersonal skills must always go hand in hand. The experiences gained through the Student Association have better prepared me for a professional working environment in the future,” Khanh emphasizes.

Those future bachelors and engineers are actively contributing their youthful energy to the community and society, affirming the position of HaUI students in the era of integration. Wishing Khanh and all Youth Union members and young people of the SMAE continued strength to keep the flame of enthusiasm burning, together creating brilliant milestones to celebrate the 95th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union!
