Career Counseling and Recruitment Workshop for Students of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology – Connecting 20 Enterprises with Over 1.500 Students
With the aim of supporting students access the labor market and find suitable job positions, while also introducing internship programs combined with research for graduation projects and recruiting positions at enterprises, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering organized the “Career Counseling and Recruitment Workshop for Students.” This year’s workshop attracted the interest and participation of more than 1.500 students and featured 20 exhibition booths from enterprises offering internship consultation and recruiting students while they are still pursuing their studies at the University.

Speaking at the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung – SMAE’s rector – expressed his sincere appreciation for the participation of 20 enterprises in the workshop. He emphasized: “at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering, students are always placed at the center of all training and development activities. The School’s mission is not only to impart academic knowledge but also to equip students with comprehensive preparation so that they can confidently enter the labor market. The School consistently creates conditions for students to gain hands-on experience and undertake internships while they are still at university, helping them become familiar with a professional working environment, apply theoretical knowledge to practice, and gain early access to employment opportunities. As a result, students will be well positioned to meet the increasingly high recruitment demands of enterprises. This serves as a solid bridge ensuring the quality of human resources in the mechanical and automotive engineering sector in the future.”

With an extensive cooperation network involving hundreds of domestic and international organizations and enterprises, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry, has consistently taken the lead in strengthening the linkage between education and practice, innovating and improving training quality to meet the increasingly high demands of the labor market. This process is always carried out with the close accompaniment of enterprises through the expansion of cooperative activities. In addition, many valuable scholarships sponsored by enterprises are awarded to outstanding students and students in difficult circumstances, contributing to the encouragement of learning motivation and the support of students’ professional development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Tiến Dũng – SMAE’s Rector– with a representative of Foxconn Industrial Internet, a member of Hon Hai Precision Industry Group, presenting scholarships to five students of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering.

Dr. Nguyen Tien Sy – Vice Director of the Training and Partnership Development Center – provided a detailed introduction to recruitment programs as well as regulations on the management and organization of enterprise internships, aiming to help participating students gain better understanding and be well prepared to seize upcoming opportunities.
At the workshop, the representative of KEFICO Vietnam Co., Ltd. – Ms. Tran Thi Trang, Head of Recruitment – shared essential knowledge and skills that students need to prepare before undertaking experiential internships at enterprises. She also introduced available job positions and support plans for students to combine internship programs with the development of their graduation projects at the enterprise, providing valuable guidance to the students.

The career counseling workshop took place in a lively and open atmosphere, here, students directly asked questions and received thorough and attentive answers from the lecturers, helping to clarify all remaining issues before undertaking internships and developing their graduation projects.

The representative of K7 students raised questions and discussed the process of undertaking internships and selecting enterprises that match their abilities and strengths.
In parallel with the workshop program held in the A11 hall, students visited the booths set up in the courtyards of A10 and A11. There, they received direct counseling on the internship and recruitment pathways of the companies. This was an opportunity for students to learn about attractive job and internship positions, as well as to submit applications and participate in interviews directly at the booths.

More than 1.500 students showed interest in the booths offering direct counseling and recruitment at the workshop.
The information and opportunities from the workshop will serve as a solid foundation, providing clear guidance and boosting the confidence of students at the SMAE to successfully undertake their upcoming internships, opening the door to a promising career path.
