In a warm and emotional atmosphere, the alumni of the Mechatronics Class 1 - School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) gathered together for the 15th anniversary of graduation. The meeting was not only an opportunity to recall beautiful memories under the old campus, but also a vivid proof of the journey of maturity and proud successes of the class after 15 years of studying, contributing and developing.

On August 1st, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) had a working session and a field trip to Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd., marking an important step in the extensive cooperation strategy between the school and the enterprise. This activity is part of the plan to enhance practical connections for lecturers in the 2024-2025 academic year, aiming to improve the quality of training and scientific research.

Fifteen outstanding students of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) have just been officially recruited by VinFast Trading and Production Joint Stock Company. Notably, this recruitment took place immediately after their internship and project implementation at the VinFast factory, while they had not yet graduated.

In this era of digital and profound globalization, being professionally competent is no longer enough. Learners also need to possess the abilities to think, present, research and work in an international language. In this context, specialized English is “the key” that opens the door to integration, helping young people access a global knowledge base, master technology, and assert their capabilities in a modern work environment.

On March 31st, 2025, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry, collaborated with Vina Valves Joint Stock Company to launch a technology transfer course aimed at enhancing the mechanical machining capabilities of the company's staff. This is a practical activity that demonstrates SMAE’s commitment to closely linking training with the real-world needs of businesses. With a team of instructors rich in both theoretical and practical experience, the technology transfer course will contribute to improving the personnel capacity for the company.

With the topic "Research on optimizing the design and manufacturing of orthopedic trauma braces", students of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) have excellently won the First Prize at the school level and were nominated for the Science and Technology Award in 2025. This is not only a typical research project, but also a vivid demonstration of the application of knowledge into practice, spreading humanistic values in the community.

Vibrant, creative, and inspiring - the Engineering Festival 2025 at Hanoi University of Industry, held on June 26th , 2025, truly exploded with its central theme: "Mini Robot." The event featured a prominent competition showcasing innovative product models designed and built by the University's students. This annual activity is not just an exciting intellectual playground for engineering-passionate students but also an opportunity to practice skills, share research experiences and expand connections with the business community.

On the afternoon of May 29th, 2025, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a doctoral thesis seminar for PhD student Ngo Quang Tao. This seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Chu Van Dat, Military Technical Academy with the participation of many scientists and experts coming from SMAE, HaUI and those coming from other universities.

On the morning of June 5th ,2025, the graduation project council of the Mechanical Engineering Technology Major K2 (specialized training program equivalent to level 7) took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere. The core of the engineering training program is the orientation of practical application. Each topic not only stops at presenting reports and calculating designs, but also exists as products ready to be deployed and bring practical value to businesses. Technical solutions are optimized and gradually perfected to meet the strict requirements of production. This is a testament to the close cooperation between School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) and businesses in improving students' practical capacity.

May is brilliant with the red phoenix flowers, June calls summer with bunches of purple Lagerstroemia. These two months are also the signal of the return of a challenging but memorable exam and project season. In that atmosphere, more than 800 K16 students of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) officially entered the defense of graduation project, the 2024-2025 school year. From May 27th to May 31st , 40 evaluation councils worked urgently and seriously, witnessing the achievements after many efforts of future bachelors.
