On 6 September 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry, organized the “Citizen–Student Orientation Week” for K21 Freshmen enrolled in its English-Taught programs. This important activity helped students quickly adapt to university life and gain a clear understanding of their academic programs, regulations, and career development pathways in an increasingly international environment.

Joining the joyful atmosphere of preparations for the new academic year, on 27 August 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), organized the Freshmen Welcome Program and Orientation Week for Freshmen for the K21 intake. Through the program, the School not only helped new students quickly integrate into the new learning environment but also provided them with basic knowledge of training regulations, students’ rights and responsibilities, career orientation, and necessary skills to study and train effectively in the university environment.

In the context of strong digital transformation and the ongoing 4.0 Industrial Revolution, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enterprise management, production, and operations has become an inevitable trend. With the aim of strengthening international cooperation, promoting applied research and technology transfer, on the morning of August 7, 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), in coordination with Hansung University (South Korea), organized a Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and an international scientific seminar on the theme “Monitoring Production Systems with Artificial Intelligence.”

On the morning of August 6, 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from the Department of Science and Technology of Bac Ninh province, Bac Ninh mechanical engineering enterprises association, and representatives of its member enterprises. On the morning of July 31, 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry, held the closing ceremony of the short-term training course “Programming and Operation of 5-Axis CNC Milling Machining Centers” and simultaneously organized job placement activities for trainees after training. This marks an important step in the School’s strategy of innovation, technology transfer, and enhancement of human resource quality, meeting the requirements of the labor market in the era of Industry 4.0.

Aiming to update new research trends and share practical results and experience on solutions applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of engineering mechanics, on the afternoon of June 29, 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), successfully organized a School-level scientific conference themed: "Engineering Mechanics in the Era of AI and Smart Manufacturing."

On May 16 and 19, 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), organized the Graduation Thesis Defense for students enrolled in the English-taught programs of Mechatronics Engineering Technology and Automotive Engineering Technology. The event not only marked the maturity of the first cohort of students in the English-taught programs but also demonstrated the School’s strategy for educational internationalization.

Continuing the journey of bringing technological knowledge to younger generations, on May 9, 2026, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), selected Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted – Phu Tho as the destination for implementing technology transfer activities and presenting STEM and Robotics equipment to the school.

Closely associated with the more than 128-year journey of development and growth of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering will officially launch talented engineer and master’s degree training program in STEM fields starting from 2026. This is considered a strategic step toward realizing the University’s goal of becoming an innovation-driven university and training highly qualified human resources for key technology industries.
