"SMAE's 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival" - Strengthening Bonds and spreading joy
On the evening of October 4, 2025, the "SMAE’s 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival" took place in the bustling atmosphere of the A12 building courtyard. Hosted by the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE) at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), this colorful, warm, and meaningful event was dedicated to the children of the School's staff. The event not only provided a joyful Mid-Autumn night for the children but also served as a special occasion for the families of the trade union members to interact, connect, and together cultivate a united, humane, and sustainably developing SMAE’s community.
The program attracted enthusiastic participation from numerous families and received significant attention from HaUI and SMAE. Representing the University, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Dung, Head of the University's Women's Affairs Committee, was in attendance. SMAE was fully represented by its Board of Directors, as well as the Heads and Deputy Heads of its departments. Most notably, the event brought together over 60 families with more than 100 children, creating an intimate and festive atmosphere.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung – SMAE’s Rector – affirmed the key role of solidarity in the School's sustainable development strategy: "The sustainable development of SMAE is not only built on the quality of education and scientific research projects, but is also nurtured by the spirit of unity and sharing among our staff, officials, and employees. This spirit is not only demonstrated in our professional work but also extends to the homes of our union members – where the children are not just a source of pride, but also an inspiration for us to cultivate a humane, warm, and strong SMAE community." The Rector also committed to continuing to build a professional and humane working environment, so that every staff member, official, and employee feels proud when they come to the School, and every family is filled with trust and love.

One of the most emotional highlights of the "SMAE’s Mid-Autumn Festival 2025" program was the Mid-Autumn Feast Display Competition with the theme "SMAE – Connecting Bonds of Kinship". The competition attracted the enthusiastic participation of four trade union teams, with each team presenting a meticulously arranged Mid-Autumn feast tray that clearly demonstrated the members' creativity, skill, and spirit of unity. Each trade union team not only displayed a Mid-Autumn feast tray with its own distinct character but also appointed a representative to present the message, meaning, and the story behind each creation. The Organizing Committee established a comprehensive set of evaluation criteria, including: Creativity & Originality, Composition & Aesthetics, Meaning & Theme, and Presentation.

The "SMAE'S 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival" was not only an occasion for the children to have fun, but it also spread the spirit of mutual love and support to our compatriots in Central Vietnam who are heavily affected by Storm No. 10 – Bualoi. The collective of staff, officials, employees, and their children from SMAE came together to send small gifts and sincere words of encouragement to the children in the flooded region, with the hope of giving them more strength to soon overcome their difficulties and return to school.
